Phillies CF: Werth 3B: Dobbs 2B: Utley 1B: Howard LF: Burrell RF: Jenkins C: Ruiz SS: Bruntlett P: Hamels
Milwaukee 2B: Weeks CF: Kapler LF: Braun 1B: Fielder RF: Hart 3B: Hall SS: Hardy P: Bush C: Kendall
Well, Ned Yost is batting his pitcher 8th tonight, but the Phils are continuing with their homer barrage getting a 2 run shot from Greg Dobbs, and solo blasts from Chase Utley and Pat Burrell. Cole Hamels settles down after a shakey 3 run 1st and it's 4-3 Phils in the middle of the 6th inning.

I wonder if putting someone decent at the 9th spot would be a decent move so you won't have the worst hitter in the lineup next to the best contact hitter in the lineup. Well according to computer model making a random lineup won't affect the amount of runs it can produce as much as people think.

A couple of years ago when the Phillies couldn't come up with a good lineup, the computer generated one had Howard leading off. Yost said it was because Kendall was a good ground ball guy so he figured the pitcher can bunt guys over and Kendall can move them up or drive them in, plus it's like having two leadoff guys. Instead of turning the lineup over after the 8 hole hitter, you have a real hitter. Hey, whatever works for him. Still 4-3 , bottom 8.

Manuel went to the well once too often with Cole Hamels. Fielder crushes a 2 run HR to give the Brewers a 5-4 lead.

Phils get the tying run to third with 1 out, but Werth and Feliz can't get him in off Derek Turnbow. Final - Brewers 5, Phils 4.
