I don't need to see his stuff to know. Here's why I know:
1) He throws hard.
2) He's a rookie, he'll be squeezed by an old-school umpire.
3) His success now is mostly because he is unknown.

No. Joba is nasty...his slider is one of the best in the big leagues right now. He'll obviously struggle eventually (what rookie doesn't?), but he'll be a good one.

He's had success in the minor leagues, plus along with his 97mph fastball, he has a nasty slider, as doublestix said. |

He was in AA at the start of the year and was only in AAA for what? A few weeks? AAA is very important, it's not just pitching to get better but you learn important stuff like how to manage an inning, how to get out of trouble, etc. Look at Joe Smith. He was only in Double AA last year, he was promoted to ML after ST. Now he's in AAA because he never learned those things.
