The Phillies pulled out a win today against the San Francisco Giants with an unearned run in the 9th, their 5th unearned run of the game. Geoff Jenkins hit a grounder which went off the secondbaseman's glove for an error and Ryan Howard scampered around to score from 2nd base. Howard had walked with 2 outs, followed by another walk to Pat Burrell, setting it up for Jenkins to try to drive in the winning run. Carlos Ruiz's solo home run in the 8th had tied the game for the Phils, giving them another opportunity to come from behind for a win. Cole Hamels had a mediocre start going 6 innings and allowing 4 runs on 7 hits while walking none and striking out 5. Rich Aurilia touched him up for a two run homer to tie the game in the 6th. Brad Lidge kept his ERA at zero with a crisp 9th, getting the win for the Phils. Keiichi Yabu absorbed the loss for the Giants. The Phils head to Arizona for a four game set with the ML's winningest team, the Diamondbacks, currently 21-10 after losing to the NY Mets 5-2 on Sunday. Jamie Moyer will start for the Phillies and the D-backs will send rookie Max Scherzer to the hill for his first ML start.

This is ridiculous. The default font is white and you can't see it.
