Well it looked like it was going to be a long day for Phillies fans but the bats jumped to life and the Phils are pounding the Astros 15-6 in the 7th. The Phillies batted around in both the 6th and 7th innings after falling behind the Astros 6-4. Cole Hamels had his shortest outing of the season going just four innings and giving up all 6 Astros runs. The trouble began in the first when with two outs and two runners on base Carlos Lee whacked home plate umpire Jerry Crawford in the head with a follow through causing Crawford to leave the game. After a long delay while a base umpire suited up for the plate, Lee nailed Hamels' second pitch into the seats in left for a 3-0 Astros lead. The Phils tied it on a Jenkins HR and an Utley sac fly, but the Astros went ahead with 2 in the 3rd and added another in the 4th. Now in the 8th it is 15-6 Phils.

And that's how it ended. Fish also won their first game with the Giants, but are playing another one in SF, tied at 1 in the 2nd.

And the Marlins swept the Giants a doubleheader, so the Phils lost half a game even though they won their game. Phils host the Rockies and the Fish visit the Mets starting tonight. Mets are looking to right their ship, the Phils hope they can cool off the Marlins and the Phils are trying to get another hot streak going.
