Well, let's see if the bats can keep it going. Maybe they can set a new three game scoring record.

Rockies will have the services of Garrett Atkins after sitting out last night's game with a sore neck. Jenkins will start in right for the Phils. Burrell a late scratch, Dobbs in left for the Phils.

FYI, the rap on the Phillies the last few years is that they beat the good teams and struggle against the weaker teams. Look it up. And don't be talking smack in these threads.

Phils get 4 in the 1st and 3 in the 2nd an are within 2 runs of the club record for runs in three consecutive games. The 1900 club scored 44 against the NY Giants in three consecutive games. This club has 42 in the last three with 2-1/3 innings to go, unless the Rockies tie or take the lead, then they'll have another inning at least.

Phils retired in the 7th, still up 7-1.

Rockies get two straight hits in the 8th, but Seth Smith ran through a stop sign and was nailed at the plate by TJ Bohn. Now Spliborghs homers to left off Tom Gordon who came in after Smith was thrown out. 7-3 Phils, top 8th.

No you're not. You said, and I quote, "funny how the phillies do good against sub 500 teams... " with no mention of the guys the Rockies are missing.
Anyway, Tom Gordon tried his best to let the Rockies back in the game, but Jimmy Rollins makes a great stop and throw to end the inning. 7-3 Phils through 7-1/2.

Now there's a rain delay in the middle of the 7th. If they call it, the Phils will win.
