Marlins lost. Am I the only one who appreciate that at least the Marlins went this far? At least they are not 23-31 right now. i know, i used to not even watch, much less check the box score on game nights. |

Well, the first series between these two teams goes to the Phillies 2 games to 1. They will meet again 15 more games this season. Anyone who thinks the season is over based on this series must not know baseball or has very little confidence in their team. The "lucky" Phillies are leading the league in almost every offensive category and their bullpen is the best in the league. With any improvement at all in their starting pitching they will run away with the division. The problem is that the prognosis for an improvement in starting pitching looks bleak. We can only assume that Hamels will turn around these last two starts, but after that they pretty much got what they got - a mediocre staff. Good thing they score a lot of runs.

FYI, winning ballgames is worth more than RPI. I don't want to see any more junk about the Phillies being lucky. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Right. That's why it makes more sense to go by facts rather than by talking smack. They gave me this forum to mod and I'm not going to put up with BS in the game threads. Now the next Marlins game thread you participate in, please keep it to the facts of the game. You want to rag on your own guys, by all means, have at it, but I don't want any more crap.
