The on-again, off-again talks between the Diamondbacks and ace Brandon Webb stopped again this week, and Webb said he's done negotiating for the time being. "It's gone on for five months," he said. "I'm tired of it. We've got 2 1/2 years. If it comes down to that, I'll be a free agent." Webb is under contract for 2009 for $6.5 million and the club holds an $8.5 million option for 2010.

Gosh, it made so much more sense to worry about signing that worthless Left Fielder , "Farce of the Franchise" Eric Byrnes, than locking up Webb.

One of the elite pitchers in the game, homegrown even and we cannot get the deal done?? I'm pissed.
