Didn't he throw like 100 pitches in the bullpen before coming in? You can't expect the guy to be fully affective after that.

This is priceless. The Mets' fan and the Marlins fans ragging on Brad Lidge. Tell you what Seaver, we'll trade you Lidge for Wagner straight up. You do the deal? Darn right you do.

Seavs, that's ridiculous. So, in other words, you knew he was going to blow those six saves this year, right? Come on, I was born at night but it wasn't last night.

You guys would be screaming if Hurdle had warmed your team's closer up seven times. Lidge wasn't effective but I doubt even the great Rivera would have been very effective if he warmed up every inning for 7 innings and finally came in in a non-save situation. I'll take Lidge and truly do appreciate him.

He still needs to prove to me that he'll stay consistent and not get rattled by something bad happening(ie, Losing in the playoffs)

Lidge doesn't need to prove anything to me or you or anybody else, but I'd say 20 out of 20, 1.125 WHIP and 1.13 ERA does it.

no, he does. The guy went into a downward spiral after he gave up a homer to one of the best hitters in the league to lose in the NLCS, and just recovered from it this season. You can't ignore that
