Im fine with that trade, it gets Pudge out of the division and the tigers got no prospects

Not a great trade for either team, IMO. Each of them overvalued what they got and undervalued what they gave up.

Farnsworth is an average pitcher that was on a decent streak. Rodriguez is an aging all-star, slightly past his prime. Bruney is back so we don't need Farnsworth, as Bruney is much better IMO. Good trade for us.

Good trade for us. Bruney has a horrible K/BB ratio for his career. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. I'd rather Farnsworth with the season he's having than Pudge. You'll miss Farnsworth now that he's gone.

Bruney was tearing it up before he got injured, Farnsworth is no better then an average player. It was his first year NOT completly sucking throughout 80% of it. He was just on a hot streak when we traded him. I've always hated Farnsworth and Pudge has been my favorite non-Jorge Posada catcher for along time now. Pudge is an gold-glove all-star and he supposedly wants to play for a few more years. If for some reason the Yankees resign him it would be awesome! Release Sexson- move Posada to first and have him switch up with Giambi(If they resign him) Pudge abd Molina share catching, Nady and Damon(or switch Damon back to center) share left field, Melky in center, Abreu in right, and Damon/Matsui/Giambi/Posada DH? We would be stacked, however that wouldn't be able to work out sadly . Its all just a dream.

While Farnsworth has been good as of late, I've seen him his entire Yankees career, and he's a very up-and-down player. We traded him at the peak of his value, and needed another bat, which we got in Pudge. I wish we could've traded for another reliever though, I'm not really that confident in Edwar Ramirez/Bruney/Robertson/Veras will be a good bridge to Mo...
