The NFL Team expansion thread got me thinking since there is an uneven amount of teams in each division why not fix that? SO I thought up a possible new division format.
AL East: Yankees Red Sox Blue Jays Rays Orioles
NL East: Mets Braves Phillies Marlins Nationals
AL Central: White Sox Indians Twins Tigers Brewers*
NL Central: Cubs Reds Pirates Astros Cardnails
AL West: Angels Rangers Mariners A's Royals*
NL West: D'backs Rockies Giants Dodgers Padres
*The Brewers used to be an AL team until Bud Selig moved them to the NL because they would get more media attention playing St. Louis and Chicago than Detroit and Minnesota. SO why not move them back, then tht buts 5 in the NL but 6 in the AL so move Kansas City to the AL West if the Rangers can play on the AL West when they are just as far away from everyone else, why cant the Royals? Not a thought out plan but it could work. Not that Bud Selig do would do anything about it

if anything it would be like this
AL East: Yankees Red Sox Blue Jays Rays Orioles
NL East: Mets Braves Phillies Marlins Nationals
AL Central: White Sox Indians Twins Tigers Royals
NL Central: Cubs Reds Brewers Pirates Cardinals
AL West: Angels A's Mariners Padres Astros
NL West: D'backs Rockies Giants Dodgers Rangers
Perfect.

hahaha....u guys are both idiots...1) selig's move of the brewers had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with media attention...it was because you cant make a schedule with an odd number of teams in the league 2) you cant go back and put an odd number of teams in a league

lol...this discussion is rediculous Bud Selig had no good reason he is the worst commissioner the MLB has every had He's not the worst commissioner MLB ever had. However, he does have the worst haircut an MLB commissioner has ever had. An odd number of teams in each league would require more interleague games (which has worn out it's appeal, IMO). What they should do is move the Marlins to the West (like Portland). Move the Rockies to the Central and Pirates to the East (Pitt is in the EST).

For a simple little thing Move the Braves to the Central they are closer to the midwest than Pittsburg

Can't because of the Mets-Braves rivalry. Pittsburgh doesn't have an inter-division rivalry and neither does Colorado.

1. You can't have odd number in both leagues. It flat out doesn't work. 2. Leave them how it is. It's working just fine. 3. You know Selig actually gave KC a chance to move to the NL instead of the Brewers? Yep. Ownership rejected the offer though, which doesn't look good in hindsight.

Damn. I'd love to face the Royals 6-7 times a year They really should have moved to the NL to strengthen their rivalry with St. Louis. Milwaukee still would have had the White Sox nearby.

Bad move on the Royals part When the Sox used to play up in Milwaulkee they would get huge crouds of Sox fans and hardly any Brewers fans they had the whole taking back Miller Park back then too

Hate to shut down another thread but because of odd number on each league, there a better chance to add 6 new teams then moving 1 to the AL.
