I think the MVP race is clearly being led by Carmelo Anthony right now. He's put up incredible numbers the whole year, despite being suspended. Lebron James is probably 2nd, but Yao, Kobe, and Arenas are having fantastic years themselves. I expect James to take it if Anthony is held back for his suspension.

i think the nba mvp race is currently being led by the player on the team that always seems to be on a winning streak, yes thats right, Steve Nash, he has led his team with even more firepower then ever before, now that he has Amare he seems almost unstoppable.

My NBA midseason MVP award goes to d-wade. He is 7th in the league in points and 8th in assists. He is also 9th in the league in steals and he is doing all of this while he missed a chunk of games due to injury. He is shooting 81% from the foul line and 48% from the field. He is doing a good job of keeping the heat afloat without shaq and I think when shaq comes back and the heat get that inside presence back, that d-wade’s numbers will get a boost because he won’t be double teamed as much. Also, if the heat can stay healthy, wade can take them deep into the playoffs again

I think the super bowl will be a great game this year. There are some very good matchups. The Chicago defense against the great Indy O-line, the Chicago WR’s against the Indy CB’s, and the Chicago run 1st offense against the suddenly surging Indy D-line. I think that the key matchup to watch, though, is what the great Chicago secondary does against peyton manning, who’s going to the super bowl for the 1st time and has been known to choke in the playoffs. If he feels pressure in the playoffs, he’s gonna feel an amazing amount of pressure in his 1st super bowl. My keys to the game on each side are Rex Grossman of the Bears and the Indy run D. I believe that whichever of those 2 hav the best game, that team is gonna take it home. My pick= bears.

This years playoffs began with numerious choices for superbowl contendors, but as we now know there are only 2, the colts and the bears. Lets go back to the wild card week, the colts had been manhandled defensively all year, but they found a spark when they played well against cincys high powered offense, and they used that against the cheifs, ravens, and the patroits, and it worked out now they are somewhere where many people thought they wouldnt be after last year, the superbowl. The bears on the other hand started out strong in the playoffs with a bye and beat the seahawks by a field goal, but they proved they were worthy when they beat down the saints.
This years superbowl will be all about defense, but you might be surprised because i am picking the colts to win.

The super bowl should be a fantastic game this year with. Peyton has gotten over the pressure hump with the help from this teammates mostly Joseph Addai who has rushed for 217 yards in the postseason. The most intriguing matchup will be the chicago d-line against the Indy O-line. This could ultimately be the deciding factor. I look for Joseph Addai to open up the pass for Manning, taking a little pressure off of him. Dwight Freeney vs John Tait could be another deciding factor, for Grossman to have a decent game, Tait must keep Freeney away from the QB. the x-factor may AGAIN be Dallas Clark, albeit the Bears linebackers in the middle of the field are much better than those of the patriots.
Ultimately I think that the colts offensive attack will be too much for the, while I look for the resurgant defense to pressure Rex Grossman. colts 21, bears 10

Not many arena football players go pro, even when they do it doesnt work out so well. you ask yourself "An arena football player playing in the nfl?" well you would have flipped if you would have heard about this, but when mike furray came to play for a team that was poor in every stat possible, he still can to play with all heart out on the football field, catching the balls thrown by an older aged QB. Now he signs a 3 year deal with detroit along side Roy Williams, he is destined to have a fine career, and if the lions pick a good rookie QB to throw to him, you might just see those numbers of his go up.

Furray is the type of player you want to see succeed. As a baseball analogy, he's the Emil Brown of football. Brown spent years in the minor leagues before becoming an arguably above average left fielder today. He's never going to be a star receiver, but he is a guy you want to root for because he play his heart out every single day.
Arena football as a whole will now be looked at more than ever by the professional scouts...diamonds can be found in the rough. More and more players will get a chance to be in the NFL soon from the Arena Football League.
If the Lions can improve their offensive line woes this offseason, he will be a fine complement to Roy Williams when their QB is given the light to go gunslinger.

I think this is a great success story. Only a couple years ago Mike Furrey was in the AFL, and now he is on the Detroit Lions. Last year he played Safety for the Rams, then got picked up by the Lions. Furrey led the NFC in receptions last year with 98, and he was Kitna’s favorite target. Furrey was also 2nd on the team with 6 TD’s and 67.8 yards per game. Furrey average 11.1 yards per catch and caught balls for 57 1st downs. Also, a little known stat, Furrey caught 38 balls on 3rd down last year and converted 29 for 1st downs, a pretty good percentage.
