Here's an example of what the blog will look like. Well, it's not really an example, but I didn't do all that I would do. Oh, I'm looking for someone to do a daily injury report. If interested, PM me.

NFL News: September 19th, 2007
Here are some of the news stories around the NFL today.
- Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens was find what he called a large chunk of money and thousands of dollars today by the NFL for the celebration he did after he scored a touchdown last Sunday against the Dolphins. In it, Owens used the ball and goalposts as props, and pretended he was filming something, which was poking fun of the Patriots cheating scandal that has filled headlines for much of the beginning of this 2007 NFL season. TO said that the league mainly fined him for using the ball as a prop, but one has to wonder how sensitive they're going to be about the Patriots cheating story. If he was fined for using the ball as a prop, then it's ridiculous. Let the guys have some fun, NFL. I can understand why they wouldn't want the pylons or other objects used as props in celebrations, but the ball? Come on.
- Recently signed Atlanta Falcons quarterback Byron Leftwich is, as expected, not going to be allowed to wear the number 7. The number carries 2 significances- 1. It has always been Leftwich's number with the Jaguars, and 2, it is the number of recently convicted criminal and also quarterback Michael Vick. So, having to pick a number, Byron chose number 2. Right now, Leftwich is number 3 on the Falcons depth chart, behind Joey Harrington and Chris Redman. But, with Atlanta's offense only managing 10 points through 2 games, one has to wonder how long it will take before head coach Bobby Petrino pulls the plug on Harrington, and starts Leftwich. In my opinion, it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. Harrington is just not cut out to be a NFL starter. Leftwich is a far more better option, and with the way this Falcon's offense is currently going, some change will have to take place if 0-2 Atlanta wants to contend for the playoffs.
- This week, Chiefs young defensive end Jared Allen will return to Kansas City after his 2 game suspension. He was suspended for multiple drunk-driving incidents. The Chiefs need a spark as they are 0-2 heading into a week 3 match-up against Minnesota in Kansas City. Allen has gotten a total of 27.5 sacks over his 3 year career, and is quickly becoming a defensive star for the chiefs. The defense, however, isn't the thing that has hurt the chiefs so far. The offense, led by Damon Huard, and a Larry Johnson who is still getting back into shape after a long holdout, is. Allen will be a very nice addition, but in order to go back into contention, the Chiefs offense will need to step up. To do this, will the Chiefs need to turn to 2nd year player Brodie Croyle? I think so.
- The Bengals have signed former Eagles linebacker Dhani Jones to a one-year contract, after waiving linebacker Andre Fraizer yesterday. He started 13 games for the Eagles last year, and then got cut on April 30th. He then signed with the Saints, but they released him on August 31st. Jones will be counted on immediately to try to bolster the Bengals special team unit, which had an awful week against the Browns. The Bengals also want him to help improve the defense sometime this year, although he most likely won't do it his first few weeks in Cincinnati.
- Say goodbye, and then say hello again. Safety JR Reed signed with the Eagles just 9 days after he was cut from the same team. This moves comes mostly because both safeties Brian Dawkins and Sean Considine got injured in Monday's game against the Redskins. Reed was release most in part to his 2 muffed punts in week 1 against the Packers.
- The Bears release punter Dirk Johnson today after he signed with them before Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Johnson is no longer needed, and regular the regular Bears punter, Brad Maynard, will be able to play on Sunday against the Cowboys. That left a roster spot open, which the Bears used to resign cornerback Ade Jimoh.
