DETROIT (AP) -- Tigers manager Jim Leyland is giving a blunt review of his job performance.
"I stunk. With the year we've had, I stunk," he said before Tuesday night's game against Kansas City.
Leyland said there's plenty of blame to go around, adding that he's not the "Lone Ranger" in Detroit's disappointing season.
"Everybody better step it up," he said. "They better do what they need to do this winter."
The Tigers were expected to be a World Series contender. Instead, their series against the Royals is for last place in the AL Central.
"The days of baby sitting and milking along are over," Leyland said. "We're under fire because of the year we've had and that's totally understandable."
