This is a trade idea I thought up for the White Sox.
White Sox and Angles:
White Sox Send: DH Jim Thome Angles Send: RP Scott Shields
Benefit for Sox: They lose his huge contract and gain a veteran reliever to help there bullpen woes. They would gain extra spending money to sign Tori Hunter or Aaron Rowand, David Eckstien, ect. Josh Fields who is a horrible fielder at third and Left Field could DH Angles: They get that big bat they are looking for to have behind Guerrero.

I wouldn't do that if I'm the Angels

I wouldn't do that if I'm the White Sox. LOL
I would ask the Angels for one of their many infield prospects. They have those coming out the wazoo.

yea, even though thome is on the back end of his career, he still makes a very good and very powerful DH...if i were the white sox, i would need to get a hitter out of it

I think that the White Sox would need an infield prospect to make it work, like you said. They really need relief pitching though

The White Sox wouldn't do that trade..... The GM Ken Williams would not do it because it makes too much sense.
