He left a good impression but I think he need to repeat what he did this year 2 more time for me to consider him a HOF. His numbers are great, but not dominating.

They are when you consider he played in the steroid era in the AL East.

Sad to see him retire. Sure HoFer. Watching ESPN and when they read off some of his numbers... wow.
More K's then Cy Young Over 100 more wins the losses IN the steroid era IN the AL East AND ten years in a hitters park when he was an Oriole. 270 wins all together. Around a 3.2 career era.
That's good stuff.

Yes he is. He doesn't have the big 300 win plateau but his won-to-loss ratio is ridiculous..he's also a seven time gold glover, and as seaver said, pitched in the steroid era AL EAST his entire career.

his career ERA is more around 3.70. He is still not in the same never like Johnson, Martinez, Maddux, Smoltz, Sabethia, Santana. He's good but he never won a Cy Young award to show for it. If he want voters to seriously give some thoughts on approving to the HOF, then he needs to pull a Roger Clemens.
