Padres pitcher Jake Peavy won the Cy Young Award in a unanimous decision, announced today. Reds ace Aaron Harang came in fourth place, behind Brandon Webb and Brad Penny. Harang got one second-place vote and seven third place votes. In the recently ended season, Harang went 16-6 with a 3.73 ERA. It's very nice that Harang is getting some amount of respect from the voters. I feel that this outcome is much more fair than last years Cy Young vote, where Harand did not get one single vote, which was absurd considering he led the National League in both wins and strikeouts. Peavy deserved to win it this year, and Webb and Penny both had great years. Hopefully next year Harang will continue to improve and will get closer to first place. - Tonight, I'll finally talk about some Reds rumors that were mentioned today. cincinnatiredsbaseball.blogspot.com/2007/11/cy-young-results.html

How can you say Webb deserved it? Peavy lead the league in K's, wins, and ERA.

what about the American League Cy Young. CC Sabathia beating out Josh Beckett. The main reason Sabathia won was because of more innings pitched

Good decision. Peavy clearly deserved it.
