Lets hear it, so we get to know which owner is here to win, and which owner is here only for the money. Name:
Team:
Main Goal:
Intelligence: (Does he know how to operate his franchise?) Rate it: (From 1-5)

Any other comments:
Name: Jeff Loria Team: From the Florida Marlins Main Goal: Destroy the franchise for his personal benefits Intelligence: Must have some intelligence to still not be fired from Bud Selig yet. Rate it: 3 Finance: Save as much money as low as possible Rate it: .1 Popularity: Don't get seen in public Rate it: -.1 Overall Rating: -1 Any other comments: Sell the team already, its obvious you don't have enough cash to run a franchise! I said this another thread, but he stopped outside the stadium... got out of his black Limo and signed autographs for some young Marlins' fans... He was extremely nice to those kids... Just wanted to give a POSITIVE Loria story...

Name: Tom "The Dick" Hicks
Team: Texas Rangers
Main Goal: Spending money just for the sake of spending money
Intelligence: (Does he know how to operate his franchise?) Rate it: 2
Finance: (Does he likes opening his wallet?) Rate It: 5.....Gave A-Rod the biggest contract ever (up until now)
Fans Approval: (Does the fan base accept him in general?) Rate It: 2
Overall Rating: 4
Any other comments: I give Hicks the credit for stepping down as GM/owner. Jon Daniels took over for Hicks as GM, and has done a nice job IMO. Hicks has put almost all power in Daniels to make the decisions, yet Hicks always finds a way to get the last "say so". If the Rangers ever want to compete, Hicks needs to step down and follow the Dallas Stars (he owns them as well), or follow his England soccer club that he recently purchased. To say that Hicks would suffer if he stepped down as the Rangers owner would be rediculous!!! DOWN WITH HICKS!!!

yea, usually people who dont wanna spend money sign ppl to 7 year, $120 mil deals...ur talkin out of ur ass They don't like to spend money. The only reason they did for Pedro and Beltran was b/c Omar convinced them the only way to make them less of a laughing stock was to overpay for them.

thats the player's fault for the collapse down the stretch, they built a good team No, that would be Omar Minaya's fault for not getting the relief help that the Mets needed at the deadline. It ended up costing them BIG TIME, and that was Minaya's fault. Sure the players didn't perform too, but Minaya should have realized and been paying attention that the Mets needed one or two more relievers.
