1yr/4.2m deal today...
I think he could have got more, but I understand it on his part. He has a big year this year ----> Huge payday after the 2008 season.

i dont think he could hav got more, they would hav payed 6 mil for 40 games or so...

He's not getting that much considering what everyone else has been getting. For the time he pitched last year, he did a pretty good job as far as stats are concerned. But, then again, injuries keep killing him. If him and Prior could have both stayed healthy, they would have possibly been the most dominant 1-2 punch in the MLB. Too bad for the Cubbies.

i dont think he could hav got more, they would hav payed 6 mil for 40 games or so... GM's look at his upside and potential impact on a club, and he could have done more. Yea he's a good bet to get injured again, but I would have done 2y/10m if I was running a club, upside is too great.

Well of course I would. I would sign A-Rod to 10yr/20 bucks a year if I could. LOL. But, I think there was plenty of interest in a fireballer who could be an elite closer that he could have gotten 2 or 3 years.
