The WBC suppose to be taken with pride. To get invited in must mean that you are good enough to join the tournament to represent your country to see which is the best in baseball. But if you join you will risk getting injury and fatigue and might not perform as well as if you didn't join. Do you prefer your players joining the WBC or stay home if they get invited?

I don't want any of the players on the Mets going. Only crappy players should be allowed to play.

Some players I wouldn't want to, some I wouldn't care. Relievers...fine. Jose Guillen...fine (it'd help him get into shape quicker).
I wouldn't want to see a SP go though. Luckily I don't think that's going to be a problem at least for this year.

I'm all for it. Players play in spring training games anyway..this is baseball, we shouldn't baby our players, especially with something as great as an idea as the World Baseball Classic.

A lot of players play in other leagues every offseason, what's the big deal with them going to the WBC?

The US team needs more pitcher. THey need CC Sabbathia and AJ Burnett to pitch 20 innings each in the WBC.

so you suggest having the players a team needs most prepare for the season by not having them hit against MLB pitching and building teamwork and chemistry with their team but playing in an international event?

Spring Training is not MLB level.
