www.gamedaily.com/articles/news/mlb-09-the-show-covered-by-dustin-pedroia/?biz=1Horaay! another east coast guy on the cover of the MLB:The Show games. First: David Ortiz two years too late. Then: David Wright before he was the proven all star Then Ryan Howard Mr. Strikeout King Now: Dustin Pedroia then 5 foot nothing guy who is the first to actual deserve being on the cover. But c'mon why not someone from the Rays at least you really want an east coast player.

I would have suggested Bj Upton. Most non-hardcore fans now know about him after the playoffs

Even Carl Crawford or Evan Longoria are known around the baseball world now.

If Sabbathia stayed in Milwaukee he should have been on the cover.

That was the best baseball game ever. Is it possible it could be brought back?

Not really. EA nearly acquired Take 2 but that didn't happen. We won't get another MVP game until 2K's deal expires.

I almost hope MVP doesn't come back, cause it would be shit and I think The Show is fine. EA Sports has gone waaaaaaaaay downhill in the past 5 years, and all of their sports' games on the next-gem systems have been very bad

2k7 was my favorite in the past five or so years. I think 2k8 sucked. I think I have played MVP 2005... I actually might have it. If it is the one I am thinking of then that would be my second favorite. (Did it have Manny on the cover?)

Was it because Jeter was on the cover of 2K7?

2k7? I like it but it's nothing compared to MVP 2005. The only reason I don't play 2005 anymore is b/c the rosters are outdated and I don't want to have to create 50 players.

I doubt they do it anymore but if you have online hooked up for your PS2 you can get roster updates. Or you can get a ROM of the internet somewhere. Just search on Google. "MVP Baseball 2005 updated rosters" or something like that. Anyway I'm excited for the Show, it's going to be my first MLB The Show on PS3 I'm so excited I can get rid of there crapppy soundtracks and but my own music on there ;D Not to mention the graphics.
