I don't care how many innings Wheels has pitched lately... he is the only one I trust to finish it off right now.

Oh now he's going to change. Of course! Why would he do it after the 3 run homer? Or after Lidge puts 2 on base? That would be sane.

This should not have gotten this far. Lidge has no buisness anywhere near the ninth inning

I have changed my mind on Lidge. He is done. He still may straighten out some day, but it will not be in a Houston uniform.
I did not get home until the top of the 9th, and got to experience a full range of emotion.
There are some things I do not understand. The homeplate ump calls a ridiculous third strike on Lamb. Thankfully followed by the Biggio slam. Then you can't make him call strike in the bottom of the inning. Granted Lidge was wild, as usual, but some were closer than that 3rd to Lamb. The other thing puzzling is what the $@#& Garner was thinking. Jeez, Lidge threw one strike in the first 9 pitches.

Maybe we need to start a petition - either get rid of Lidge, or at least to NEVER put Lidge in the game after the 7th inning. They keep coming up with excuses... the latest being he abandoned the cutter and went back to what "got him here"... yeah, that helped a lot.
