Game recap:
It was Willis vs Glavin in a must win for the Mets to reach the playoff
This is also Glavin final career start. It turn out to be a choke fest. He had problem comanding the strike zone as the mermaids wait patiently to hit it back on their defensive holes. It was a 7 run rally as Mets fans watch disbelief as their playoff run end before it even started. Glavin last memorable pitch of the career was a hit batter to Willis with bases loaded, allowing the 7th run to walk home. That was when Glavin get the hook as Mets fans give him a booing ovation. Willis also struggle on the mound, he loaded the bases 3 times. But luck out all 3 times, allowing only 1 run. As in the 5th inning its 7-1.

It's something we shouldn't forget. Especially if it was the kick in the rear end for the front office to really shake the team up.

Glad that the Mets fail to sign Zito last season, he usually pitch good against the Marlins.

Me too. He would have sucked and prevented the Mets from possibly getting Santana or a real ace. Omar was right, Zito isn't an ace.
