I was thinking of getting it for the Wii. But, my main question is do you have to know how to play the guiter in order to be good at the game? I know my question might sound dumb, but you know...Just out of curiosity.

no. There are just buttons to push. Nothing like playing a guitar. At least thats for XBOX 360, not sure about wii

I used to think the same. Then I played it and it's really fun. Especially with 3 other people. It's also nice to play a game with other people that isn't a FPS.

I have guitar hero 3, played it with the controller and can beat most songs on expert with it. Now I've got the guitar and am slowly but surely getting better with that. I got three songs 100% on expert with the controller.
