I know most people don't like using the really intense new stats yet, but one I think should be looked at more closely by everyone is DERA(basically, ERA with defense and other aspects factored in). Obviously, most still use the stats that actually happened and not the projected ones, but this one seems superior; a pitcher should not be penalized for bad defense. If we use this stat, in fact, a team like the Reds had the 6th best pitching staff in '08
