In which year do you plan to make a run for it all?

2012 is the year we aim to be surefire contenders, and 2014 is when we aim to be an absolute favorite to win each year.

The Twins GM called the Indians the next great Dynasty. What do you say to that?

well, we won't get headstrong and definetly say that we will be ''the next great Dynasty'' but we do feel our future is very strong and something to look fowards to.

How loyal will your fans be the next 2 years when you might not win 100 games combined?

Cleveland fans are known to be loyal, they stuck through the 70's and 80's when the team was terrible... and they didn't have anything like this to look fowards to then. We feel that with our young pitchers (Davis, Cahil, Anderson, Bumgarner, Miller) that already are or are very close to getting to the big leagues, fans will have a reason to come to games, and young secondbaseman Asdrubal Cabrera's dynamic defense alone is worth coming to games. We feel we will be a 70-80 win team next year, And we expect 60-70 wins this year. Even if we did lose some fan loyalty we feel that we get it back and more when things come together with the rebuilding process.

how does the ownership feel your team in going financially? it looks like you are going to be hemorrhaging money this year.

Ownership is not concerned as the payroll was recently reduced by 35M after the trades of Miguel Cabrera, Joe Mauer, and Rafael Betancourt. Another 9M is likely to be subtracted eventually if a suitor is found for newly traded for 1B Carlos Pena. Shortstop Johnny Peralta and Closer Jonathan Paplebon will be traded eventually as well, which will reduce the payroll by another 9M. So the ownership has now worries whatsoever.
