Forty people are recovering after a fireworks display malfunctioned at the WrestleMania championship this weekend, sending burning embers into the crowd, the Orlando fire department has confirmed. More than 74,000 fans had packed the Florida Citrus Bowl stadium for the pro wrestling championship Sunday night when a cable holding the fireworks collapsed at the end of the show, sending sparks flying. Fire department spokesman Greg Hoggatt said Monday that people were burned "up and down the stadium." Three people were taken to hospital, but the injuries were not serious, officials said. World Wrestling Entertainment said it is investigating. "[We're] doing everything we can to find out why it happened and to make sure it never happens again," the organization said in a press release. "While we apologize to anyone who was injured and/or alarmed by this occurrence, we take solace in the fact that the reported injuries were minor." www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmlrIrl5rbw
