A little insecure there, diehardmetsfan? What do you expect from a fan of your rival team? Just live with the fact that not everyone loves Reyes. im not insecure at all, i know reyes is gonna do great again...i just don't like how he says something and then totally contradicts himself |

Then he said, "Not Jason Bay, he needs to have a few more good years."
And then he had Sizemore, you wouldn't have said anything, because you don't care about Bay. But since it was Reyes, you freaked out on him. I'm just saying you can't expect a Yankees fan to care about Reyes, so I don't think he deserved to be called a "freakin hypocrite."

Especially since Sizemore's 2005 numbers aren't exactly spectacular. (Before you bring it up, Beltran's weren't either. He on the other hand improved tremendously and was great before 2005 as well).

Victor Martinez is a weak defensive catcher. Mauer is one of the rarest breeds of catcher; he can hit for contact, comes through in the clutch, and is excellent behind the plate. Jose Reyes had a good year in 2005 and 2006, that's two years. Let's see Jeter try to do half the things Reyes can (field, run, hit with power, and be a positive influence in the clubhouse). As diehardmetsfan pointed out, let us see Sizemore repeat. I think he will but you obviously aren't going by expectations. Please tell me you are joking. Damon is fragile nowadays. Damon couldn't throw out a runner if his life depended on it. Mauer has only had one great year, V-Mart is the probably the top offensive catcher of the past 4 years. On Johnny Damon.... And your a Yankee fan? This is the first time that he's been on the DL. He is one of the most durable players in the game. Just because he gets hurt once means he's fragile? Besides the point, Damon is one of the top CF in the game. You can't say he isn't....He can hit, run, and field. I know that he might not have the greatest arm, but he is still one of the best centerfielders in baseball. On Joe Mauer..... There is no way that Victor Martinez is a better catcher than Mauer. Mauer did win the batting title last year, and is also great defensively. Victor Martinez can't throw a guy out for his life. |

Fielding includes throwing, he cannot do that. He can get to the ball but once he has it, he can't do much. His hitting is slowly declining. No way is he one of the bet CF in baseball when there are guys like Beltran, Sizemore, and Wells playing. |

No love for Ichiro, arguably the best contact hitter in the world and he has a great arm and glove? I know there's not much power, but he's amazing.
