I am going with Ryan Howard. He has more natural power than David Wright. He batted 58 over the course of last season, a very impressive number. Plus, this year the ASG is at AT&T park which has a smaller Right-Field than Left which means more home runs for lefties.
How about we just flip the order since I did the Derby one as well?

I think it is a good move for Favre. It's disappointing to retire after a disappointing season. Now that he is on for another year, he has a chance to retire on much better terms. I can see the Packers getting to the playoffs. In football, teams can bounce back after having a good season. Look at the Jets; 4-12 last year, this year they were 10-6.

First off, I'm glad he didn't drag it out like he did last year. This is good news for the Packers and Packer fans for 2007, Favre will do a better job than Aaron Rodgers would have done. Rodgers has shown nothing that was advertised when he was made the 24th overall pick in the 2005 draft. Unfortunately for the Pack - they still won't win the division, or even make a wild card spot. The Bears have a lockdown on the division right now, so that will leave 2 spots left in the conference. The NFC East has 4 legitimate contenders in the Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, and Redskins - the spots could easily be filled by 2 of them. I see the up and coming 49'rs squad winning a wild card spot though, stealing it from the Packers in week 17.
I love Favre, I just don't think he's the same any more. He's coming off 2 years where his rating was around 70. He's forcing too many balls (thus the 18 INT's last year and 29 the year before), and only has 1 real legitimate receiver in Donald Driver. I look for them to go 8-8 again.

Last year, the NL only lost because of a bad 9th inning. They held down the impressive AL lineup for the most part of the game until Trevor Hoffman and Miguel Cabrera blew it. This year, I think will be different. The NL now has Mark Loretta, Barry Zito, and Freddy Garcia on it's side. All 3 of them played well in the AL this past season. On top of that, the NL has better "rookies" who are no 1 year more experienced. That includes guys like Jose Reyes, David Wright, Yadier Molina, and the entire Marlins team. I think the AL has a slight advantage with pitching but the NL held the AL down last year thanks to pitching, so hopefully they can do the same. I think the AL has an advantage with Leyland. Also Leyland isn't likely to pick a Tiger for every reserve player (I hate Ozzie Guillen). However, La Russa took his underdogs to the World Series and won it, so he can definitely give the NL the win in the ASG.

Cmon, that's worth more than 4 The ASG is a difficult topic because you don't know who will play. It's not determined by the past season but the first half.

The NL will turn the tide, finally after not winning the AS game since 1996, when they won 6-0 in Philadelphia led by Mike Piazza 2 for 3 day. It's been a long time coming, but they finally have the talent in the lineup to do it. A Pujoles-A. Jones-Howard-Cabrera lineup is damn scary. Bringing Barry Zito to the national league should give them another star pitching to turn to next year as well. Loaded with power pitchers, Chris Carpenter, Roy Oswalt, and Carlos Zambrano, that should be enough to carry the NL to their first title in 10 years - bring the WS home field advantage to the Dodgers in 2007.
gotta eat now. congrats if you win. ;D
