It obvious that the phillies should not trash talk here they are talking about a team that led the league in wins! has 2 of the brightest young stars in the majors! and came one pitch away from going to the WS! Especially from a team that didnt even make the playoffs. now i understand that the phillies made some nice aquisitions and that they will be a much better team but trashing talking the best team iin the nl is premature at this point especially when jimmy rollins( the person who did the talking) had a down year

I think the Phillies should talk the talk by the way they play on the field, cause thats where it really counts. Anybody can boast that they have the best team in the division, is it even the mets or phillies? You cant count out the braves like that, they have won the division how many times in the last 15 years? I think its ignorant to trash talk the mets especially with the team they have assembled, show some respect for each other! Leave the game on the field and the ego in your own clubhouse.

I think you will see much of the same this season as you did last season. I expect the Cards to be ontop but i think the real race will be for 2nd and the wildcard with the cubs and and astros biting down on the tails of the cardinals. I only expect the cubs to do good for a small portion of the year, they will be ontop of the standings for a little while but they dont have what it takes to get to the post season-not yet. Sure they do have an intimidating lineup but they also did when Sosa was there too, and they didnt make it to the series. It will be a three dog race in the central and all three teams will be within only a few games of each other in the standings at seasons end.

Oh I see, I meant AL for the arguement between Tigers/White Sox, and the Twins. My bad.

That would make things alot different, but i think the tigers with the addition of sheffield will be even stronger and i think they will win the division by atleast a 5 game lead over the Sox, i really dont expect the twins to have a good year, with Liriano i think they could contend but without i think they will fall far short. The twins do have a good team, but in 07 they will be a 3rd place team.
